Yudu media publish education white paper

yudu-logo.jpgYudu Media, a multi-platform digital publishing company, have released a white paper titled "Current and Future Trends in Education Publishing". Based on interviews carried out prior to the Frankfurt Book Fair, with about 35% of the interviewees specifically in ELT publishing, the white paper "is a good snapshot of opinion from major figures in educational publishing."

Some of the key takeaway points are that while the major publishers are "sold" on the digital future and are seeing that vision come increasingly into focus, it remains "too theoretical" and divorced from real-world application and the practical needs of teachers and learners. Central to any ongoing strategy is a two-way feedback process, with publishers understanding classroom realities and teachers understanding the technology and what publishers can do with it. Another major issue is the need for solid and up-to-date infrastructure and delivery devices.
