Bitcoins now Accepted for ICAL TEFL Courses

ical-tefl-logo.jpgICAL TEFL announced today that it will accept Bitcoin payments for all its courses, making it the very first online TEFL course provider to do so.

"We have always been at the forefront of online TEFL training and want to offer our students as many options as possible," said Jenny Scott, the company's web coordinator. "Accepting Bitcoin is a natural progression."

ICAL first offered online TEFL courses over 15 years ago. "Back then the only option was payment by check and it could take well over a week for people to register. Nowadays it's a matter of a few minutes with PayPal and credit cards and we see Bitcoin as the next step."

As we reported earlier this month, A2Z School of English in London recently became the first school in the UK to announce that it was accepting payments in Bitcoin.

Bitcoins are an electronic money system which is not controlled by any single bank or country. They are usable across the internet and are starting to enter the mainstream economy.
