english-uk-logo.jpg This year's English UK teachers' conference, aimed at English language teachers and directors of studies, will be held in central London on 9 November.

The 2013 conference will be held in London at Prospero House near London Bridge, on Saturday 9 November. This very popular event is aimed at English language teachers and directors of studies, covering a huge range of subjects of interest to people working in this area.

The conference aims to inform, inspire and entertain with major sessions from established names in the sector, as well as a vast choice of elective sessions with practitioners and others, covering such diverse subjects as technology, inspection, teaching styles and more.

This year, Russell Stannard will deliver the opening plenary on his work into screen capture to provide feedback to students. Hugh Dellar’s plenary on ‘technology and principles in language learning’ at the end of the day focuses on the relationship between technology, teachers and the fundamental principles of teaching and learning. In between there are sessions from Mike McCarthy, Peter Moor, Silvana Richardson, Vic Richardson, Martin Sketchley and many others, focusing on teaching language, teaching skills, ESP and EAP, teaching and technology and teacher development.

The cost for staff at an English UK member centre is £95, and £135 for staff from non-member centres.
