JALT 2012 conference Oct 12-15 in Hamamatsu

JALT 2012The 38th Annual International Conference on Language Teaching and Learning & Educational Materials Exhibition, known as the JALT Conference, will be held on 12-15 October 2012 in Hamamatsu, Shizuka Prefecture. ACT City, conveniently located right across from the Shinkansen Hamamatsu Station, will be the venue for the conference, which runs under the slogan 'Making a Difference'.

This year's plenary speakers include Jeannette Littlemore (University of Birmingham), John Eyles (EON Foundation), Suresh Canagarajah (Pennsylvania State University), Özge Karaoğlu (JALT Junior Plenary) and Alan Firth (Newcastle University).

Steven Herder and Deryn Verity, conference co-chairs, said about JALT 2012: "We believe that teachers are people who make a difference in other people’s lives, and we invite you to join us in Hamamatsu next October to honor and celebrate those people whose lives have intersected with yours."
