Kumon takes charge of TOEFL Junior in Japan

Teaching-English-in-Japan-Education-Kumon" Kumon Institute of Education has reached an agreement with ETS to market TOEFL Junior,a version of the English proficiency exam geared toward high school students.

ETS debuted TOEFL Junior last year and hopes to see the product adopted globally for testing the English language capabilities of students of high school age and below.

Kumon will begin administering TOEFL Junior testing in Japan from this fall and hopes to have 100,000 test-takers per year in 3 year's time.

In addition, Kumon will provide rights to language schools and cram schools to give the test, and hopes to develop this business into another revenue source.
