Pearson employees donate $180,000 to earthquake relief; amount matched by corporation

Pearson employees around the world raised have donated just over US$180,000 for relief funds to go to help victims of the Tohoku earthquake. This amount is going to be matched by Pearson and an initial $200,000 has been donated to the Ashinaga Foundation to help build a “Rainbow House” in Sendai, similar to the one that was built after the Kobe earthquake. A second donation comprising the matching donation from Pearson as a company will be made later this year.
