Simon Allen new Chief Executive of Macmillan Education • Sue Jones out as head of Macmillan ELT

Teaching-English-in-Japan-Education-Eigo-Noto" Macmillan ELT has lost its managing director with the recent departure of Sue Jones, a true veteran of the ELT industry at 65. No official announcement has been made, but the move follows the recent appointment of Simon Allen as Chief Executive of Macmillan Education, replacing Julian Drinkall.

Mr Allen joins Macmillan from McGraw-Hill where he was Senior Vice President, Education International. According to a press statement by Macmillan, "Simon has been particularly focused on the strategy of developing new digital products, extending the reach and accessibility of content, and the creation of educational services, both through internal innovation and through acquisitions and joint ventures in key markets including India and China."
