People on the Move: Steve King joins Heinle

Teaching-English-in-Japan-Education-Steve-King" Steve King has left Pearson Education after 8 years and has joined Heinle, part of Cengage Learning, as International Marketing Manager. He will initially be based in Tokyo but will be relocating, most likely to Boston, towards the end of this year. King had most recently acted as Market Research Manager at Pearson Education Asia.

Commenting on the move, King said: "I'm pleased to be joining Heinle, who I consider to be one of the most ambitious and fastest-growing players in the ELT Business. At the same time, I'm sorry to be leaving Pearson Longman. Pearson is a good, ethical, enjoyable place to work and I enjoyed my time there immensely. I wish them all the best, and in particular salute Pearson Japan President Brendan Delahunty for the fantastic leadership he has shown in the recent earthquake crisis."

Cengage Learning, through its Heinle division, publishes books such as the National Geographic Footprints readers series, edited by Rob Waring.
