OUP's Teaching Workshops start Sunday, February 6th in Sendai

Teaching-English-in-Japan-OUP.jpg" Oxford University Press is gearing up for its Teaching Workshops starting in February. The workshops are aimed at teachers of elementary school kids and are touted as including a host of practical teaching ideas.

OUP noted: "April 2011 sees a new start for English in Japan when elementary schools will officially start "Gaikokugo Katsudo". Even teachers who are not teaching in elementary schools will be affected as more and more parents will demand results from their child's English classes..."

Presenters at the workshops include Ritsuko Nakata, Barbara Hoskins Sakamoto, Setsuko Toyama, Marco Brazil and Kevin Churchley. The presentations will be in English with key words explained in Japanese. The workshops kick off in Sendai and will be held in 11 cities across Japan.
