In Brief: Mister English wins iPod touch • Prizes from OUP and Cambridge ESOL • Michael Swan interviewed

The winner was Aaron Anderson, owner of language school management software provider Mister English. Aaron went home with an iPod touch and ¥20,000 yen wil be donated to his favourite charity, Room to Read.

Oxford and Cambridge are both running competitions at the moment, Oxford are asking you to write a lesson plan and win £500 to travel to the UK for the IATEFL conference in April 2011, whilst Cambridge ESOL are offering non-native teachers of English an all-expenses-paid trip to Cambridge for a 2-week teacher development course.

Michael Swan, author of Practical English Usage and a featured speaker at the recent JALT Conference in Nagoya is interviewed by Darren Elliot over at the Lives of Teachers blog.
