General Union files complaint against GABA

The General Union has filed a complaint against GABA Corporation with the Ministry of Finance's Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC) over its description of its teachers as "independent contractors".

GABA, a public company, claims that as "independent contractors" teachers are not employees and as a result GABA does not provide any standard employee benefits such as health insurance. GABA has sales in the region of $70 million per year.
