Two more centers for supporting foreign residents to open

japa_flag.jpgTwo more 'one stop centers' will be opened in Nagano and Aichi. The first centers were established in Shinjuku, Saitama and Hamamatsu earlier this year to support foreign residents with employment, immigration, healthcare, children's education and other problems. Until now, these issues were handled separately by local governments and regional immigration bureaus.

An immigration official said,'The immigration bureau is not just about exposing illegal residents, it’s now at a turning point where it can work toward creating a society where Japanese people and foreigners can live in harmony'.
