Sesame Street language school franchises to open around Japan

images.jpgNagase Brothers, a leading cram school operator, will be opening Sesame Street franchise language schools around Japan next spring. They will begin looking for franchise partners this fall. Partners will be expected to pay 30% of sales to Nagase Brothers.

Berlitz currently has a contract to use Sesame Street characters, but this will end next year and Nagase Brothers will have an exclusive contract. The Nikkei Shimbun reports that the contract is for ten years and is costing 3 billion yen.
