Prosecutors demand five years in prison for ex-Nova president

NovaPresident.jpegThe trial of ex-Nova president Nozumu Sahashi is moving forward and a decision is expected in late August. The prosecutors have now demanded a sentence of five years in prison.

Sahashi admits using 320 million yen from employment benefit funds to reimburse students, but has pleaded not guilty to a charge of embezzlement. He claims he did not use the money to make a profit. He also claims that he intended to return the money.
