High school students infected with swine flu even though they have not been abroad

pig.jpegThree high school students in Kobe have tested positive for swine flu even though they have not been abroad. Public kindergartens, elementary, junior high and senior high schools in many areas of Kobe and Ashiya are being closed, events that may attract crowds of people are being discouraged, and people are being asked to avoid going out.

One of the students has had flu symptoms since last weekend but was only discovered to have swine flu yesterday, so he may have come into contact with a lot of other people. All three students who have been diagnosed with swine flu are attending the same high school and none of them have a history of travelling overseas.
