Exciting developments at Eigo Kyoiku News

EKN.gif

Eigo Kyoiku News, the popular Japanese language English education news site, is making some exciting changes. A new editor has just been appointed, new columns are being introduced from May, and a redesigned site will be launched in June.

The new chief editor is Kazuhiro Takemura, a specialist in voice training who writes the guide to business English for All About Japan and teaches for Alc. His profile in Japanese can be viewed by clicking here and his editorial by clicking here.

There will be three new columns starting in May. Yosuke Yanase of Hiroshima University will write about the English used by scientists and engineers. Junko Okada, a high school English teacher, will write about vocabulary acquisition. Mariko Shimizu, a specialist in children's English education, will write about teaching young learners.

Eigo Kyoiku News is highly recommended for Japanese English teachers. If you are not Japanese and like ELT News, it is well worth introducing Eigo Kyoiku News to your Japanese colleagues.
