New book review - 'How to teach speaking'

howtoteachspeaking.gif Robert Dickey of Gyeongju University in Korea continues his series of ELT Book reviews by looking at Scott Thornbury's 'How to teach speaking' published by Pearson Education

Robert thinks the book will surprise the reader because of its unorthodox approach, but think it is this unorthodoxy that makes the book more valuable. He writes: 'There is always more than one way to tell a story. Sometimes it takes a different presentation before people really get it. Scott Thornbury's How to teach speaking is an important contribution to the teachers' library because it offers a different path. And as Robert Frost reminds us, "that has made all the difference."
