New book review: 'Succeeding with English Language Learners' by Thomas Farrell

SELL.jpgRobert Dickey of Gyeongju University in Korea continues his very impressive series of ELT Book reviews by taking a look at Thomas Farrell's 'Succeeding with English Language Learners: a guide for beginning teachers'.

Robert finds the section on lesson planning particularly helpful saying it is 'the best presentation I've seen on the merits of and approaches to successful lessons' and that 'this chapter alone is worth the price of the book'. He concludes by saying, 'Even if your theoretical stance is different, even if you aren't a beginning teacher (the book) is a useful re-orientation to the roots of successful classroom teaching.'
