The government plans to shame companies that withdraw job offers to students

The current economic crisis has led many companies to withdraw job offers made to students who are about to graduate. This has led to a lot of consternation and received considerable media attention, but little has been done until now.

The government has now come up with a plan to name and shame companies that withdraw ten or more job offers to students in a fiscal year or who fail to hep students find another job. There are currently no plans to impose penalties other than publicly announcing the names of the companies concerned. It is hoped that naming and shaming in itself will be a deterrent.
