Violence in school is increasing

A new Ministry of Education report shows that violence at schools is on the increase. The number of violent incidents at elementary schools in 2007 increased by 37.1% compared with the previous year. At junior and senior high schools it increased by 18.2%. Most incidents were between students, but many were also against teachers or acts of vandalism. All figures were record highs. The only positive news was that bullying seems to be decreasing, though it is a still a serious problem and Internet bullying seems to be on the increase.
