Foreign Teachers File Complaint Against Nishinomiya

A labor union grouping foreign language teachers in Japan on Wednesday lodged a complaint against the Nishinomiya city government in Hyogo Prefecture for allegedly interfering with union activities of nine foreign nationals working for municipal schools. According to the complaint filed by the General Union, the nine English-language teachers working for primary and secondary schools in Nishinomiya asked the city government to provide them with an office for union activities but the request was never met, and the city repeatedly disrupted strikes.
