University Applications Up

A recent education ministry report shows that the number of applications for university places this spring was up for the second year running, by 5.2% to over 3.65 million. This is in spite of the decline in the number of 18-year olds and reflects the fact that more high-school graduates are making multiple applications. The applications-to-places ratio increased by 0.3 points to 6.7.
