Description

Teachers teach no more than four lessons per day and 20 lessons each week. Lessons make up the latter half of the working day. The first half comprises of lesson-plan meetings, materials making and classroom cleaning and preparation.

Students are aged 3-12 years. If you able to teach 2 year-olds (accompanied with a parent) then morning shifts may be available. Lessons are weekly and 50/60 minutes long. There are 44 lessons per year.

You should be content teaching alone and happy to spend time with children. Some Japanese ability is necessary in communicating with parents and understanding the needs of the smaller children.

We are looking for someone to start from mid-October, 2016.

Requirements

To be at the higher starting salary you'd need the following:
2 years of full-time experience working with preschoolers
120 hour TESOL (or equivalent) (we will fund a course if you don't have this)
A JLPT qualification

Working Hours

A typical working day is 12:00~20:30 with 30 mins for lunch. Depending on the schedule, it may be possible to start and finish an hour earlier.

Most teachers work Mon-Fri, but switching a day for Saturday is an option, if desired.

Benefits

Year 1 salary is 240,000-295,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
From year 2 onwards are yearly raises of 5,000-10,000.
There is a 60,000 bonus for giving 6 months notice of intent to leave at the end of a contract.

Fun English is looking for a part time native English teacher to teach two evening classes on Friday in Inagi-shi, Tokyo. Working hours are 16:00 to 19:00. You must be kind, and love children.

Requirements

1. Be a native English speaker preferably from the USA, the UK, Australia or Canada.

2. Have an experience in English teaching of at least 6 months.

3. Have a college or university degree.

4. Priority will be given to applicants with a teaching certificate.

5. Have a cheerful personality and be creative.

6. Be able to prepare suitable lessons for each student.

7. Have a reliable computer and a good internet connection : lessons are done via skype( a web cam is also required). You do not have to be living in Japan.

8. Be available to teach at least 3 days a week and 3 lessons per day ( one lesson lasts 50 min).

9. Have a paypal account to receive your monthly payment.

10. Some basic knowledge of Japanese language is appreciated.

PS:

New teachers with no understanding of the Japanese language will be given a 10-hour training to master Japanese basic words and sentences at no charge.

Benefits

You will earn 1200 yen for every 50-minute lesson.
